Family of Achimota student shot by mate file appeal against release of accused by Accra High Court

The Family of Lily Donkor, the Achimota student who was shot dead by her friend in January last year, is appealing against the release of the accused. 

An Accra High Court Monday set aside judgement by a Juvenile Court that jailed the final year student of Achimota Senior High School for killing a female colleague during a visit. 

An aunt to the deceased, Peggy Ama Donkor, disputed the reasons given by the Court for the boy's release.
