The Daily Graphic calls for public education to make Ghanaians aware of the Lassa fever disease to prevent any outbreak in the country. The paper commends the government of Nigeria for bringing the outbreak of the disease in that country to the attention of Ghana. The Graphic applauds the Ghana Health Service for taking steps to issue directives to all regional directors of the service to create awareness on the fever in the country. The Paper notes that Ghana was spared the scourge of Ebola because of the level of public education that went into its prevention. The Graphic therefore advises the public to keep a clean environment to avoid rodents from entering their homes as a step towards prevention.

The Ghanaian Times is worried about self-acclaimed Prophets who suddenly claim foreknowledge of the death of prominent people in society after the event has happened. The paper says this amounts to arrogance and demonstration of lack of faith in God. It notes that true men of God are always in their solitude praying for the country against calamities. The Times says it is appalled and scandalised about claims emanating from the death of music star Ebony after the road crash. The paper says the insensitivity of these prophets towards the family is unfortunate.     

Four days after the death of young musician, Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, also known as Ebony, the Daily Heritage is still in shock and sadness. The paper shares the pain of the millions of Ghanaians who are aggrieved because she was talented and very promising. The paper says its heart is with the bereaved family especially her mum and dad. The Heritage however believes the blame game in connection with her death should not be played at this time since it could trigger attacks from some ardent fans of hers. The paper urges everyone to be cautious because of the sensitivity of the situation.
