8th February, 2018 The Ghanaian Times says as the President is set to deliver the State of Nations Address this morning apart from addressing issues affecting the economy the address should also look at the Sustainable Development Goals. The paper says though it is convinced that Ghana has come a long way and has achieved some degree of success there is the need to do more especially towards the achievement of the SDG's. This can be done if there is an increased momentum and sustained effort at realising these goals which sees an end to poverty and prosperity for all. The Today Newspaper says it is about time the State of the Nation Address becomes action oriented where leaders are made to account for their stewardship. In other words President Akufo-Addo should tell the nation exactly what has been done in his first year in office and what he could not do rather than give us a litany of promises. The Daily Heritage which probes the question of why marriages are falling apart calls on the Clergy to be more innovative in their ways of providing counseling services prior to marriage. The paper believes a collective effort is needed to protect the sanctity of the institution of marriage and avoid broken home and its attending negative side effects on the society.
