SONA: Law breakers will have no hiding place – Prez Akufo Addo

The President Nana Akufo Addo says crime has no political colour and law breakers must be subjected to sanctions. He says law breakers will have no hiding place.

In this direction, government will give the police resources needed to do their job.
The equipment is to help with their visibility, mobility and responsiveness. In the long term, government will purchase drones and helicopters to fight violent crime.

President Akufo Addo further added that the perennial problem of accommodation will be tackled.

Prior to the State of the Nation address, security is one of the core issues that has occupied many Ghanaians because of recent attacks on the police resulting in the death of some personnel.

Many Ghanaians spoken to before the address hoped that stringent measures will be put in place to address the growing feeling of insecurity.
