Oil tanker with 22 member Indian crew missing in Gulf of Guinea, off Benin

An oil tanker with a 22 member Indian crew is reportedly missing in the Gulf of Guinea, off Benin.  There has been no contact with the Panama-registered Marine Express since last Thursday. 

This comes less than a month after another vessel was seized by pirates in the same area but was released six days later when a ransom was paid. 

The International Maritime Bureau says the Benin navy is searching for the Marine Express, which is also carrying thirteen thousand tonnes of gasoline.
