CETAG suspends 3 week old strike following assurances by government to resolve their grievances

The Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana, CETAG have suspended their three-week strike over the failure of government to pay salary arrears owed them since October 2016.

According to sources, the teachers will return to class today following assurances from government that the arrears would be paid by March 2018. 

The teachers had declared the strike few weeks ago, but indicated that they were willing to call it off if government intervenes, and commences discussions on the matter. 

General Secretary of CETAG, Prince Obeng-Himah told Pascaline Adadevoh that his outfit is confident in the assurances from government.
