Nungua SHS to close down over insanitary conditions

Nungua Senior High School (SHS) is to be closed down on Friday (November 24), over insanitary and dehumanising conditions following a court order.

The Teshie Nungua District Court magistrate gave the order when the headmistress was brought before her on criminal charges under the Public Health Act, 2012 to which she pleaded guilty with explanation. 

The school's toilet and urinal facilities have been in a poor state with serious stench, endangering the lives of the students. 

In her explanation, the headmistress narrated how she had walked the corridors of the past and present LEKMA MCEs office to have the dehumanising situation remedied but her efforts yielded no positive results.
