Special Prosecutor Office not tool for witch-hunting — Freddie Blay The Acting National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party [NPP], Freddie Blay, has urged Ghanaians, especially those on the other side of the political divide, to disabuse their minds off the notion that the Special Prosecutor Office is a political tool for the prosecution of only opponents of government. He said it is ironic to see some members of the opposition taunting government to prosecute them if it has the political will to fight corruption, and at the same time describing the Special Prosecutor Office, which is yet to be established, as a witch hunting tool'. Speaking to Journalists in Accra recently, Mr Blay indicated that fighting acts of corruption is not a witch hunt. Parliament last Tuesday passed the Special Prosecutor`s Bill to establish the Office of the Specialised agency to investigate specific cases of corruption involving public officers, political exposed persons and persons in the private sector.
