CSIR touts positives of Genetically Modified Organisms 

The Director-General of the Center for Scientific and Industrial Research, CSIR, Dr. Victor Agyeman has expressed concern about the way issues about Genetically Modified Organisms, (GMOs) are handled. 

He said although GMOs may have some side effects, the positives outweigh the negatives. 

Dr. Agyeman said it is unfortunate some Ghanaians view GMOs negatively instead of seeing it as ''pure Scientific Research.'' 

He was speaking at a workshop on ''Awareness Creation on Ghana's Bio-Safety Regulations'' for Members of Parliament in Accra.
