Christians urged to prioritize prayer of faith to disarm the enemy Ahurisie som of the Fountain Gate Desert Pastures has climaxed its 4-day Holy Ghost Action Campaign in Bolgatanga with a call on Christ believers to hold on to their faith in times of difficulties, bearing in mind that Christ is the only option to help them out of their predicaments. Delivering a sermon on the topic ‘Great is Thy Faith’, the Executive Pastor of the church, Rev Mike Ayikade observed that the devil will always stop at nothing to afflict on the righteous, but with prayer of faith, one is poised to emerge victorious. Rev. Ayikade, however, implored Christians to renew their faith in God and pray fervently to pull down every stronghold of the enemy. The 4-day non-denominational church service was organised on the theme: ‘Open Heavens’. The event which was held amidst a powerful deliverance session was attended by Ministers of God and some members of other sister churches. It was climaxed with series of activities including radio programs and community outreach services within the Bolgatanga municipality and its immediate environs. Speaking on the theme, the host pastor, Madam Comfort Quartey, expressed regret that many are those that are oppressed and have lost focus in life. She argued that most Christians and unbelievers are uncertain about what the future holds for them because they have been held captive by the enemy. For her, the devil trades on deception, so under no circumstance should anyone allow him/herself to be deceived, but rather keep faith in God at all times. Her submission was echoed by the Executive Pastor of the Fountain Gate Desert Pastures, Rev Mike Ayikade who encouraged Christians to always remain steadfast in times of trials. He further admonished Christians to resist the devil and step out of their predicaments through persistent prayer of faith. Rev Ayikade admitted that countries like the United States of America is what is today because those in positions of authority are constantly being supported in prayer by its citizens and wise counselors. He said the Bible exhort Christians to intercede for those in authority regardless of one’s personality or political colour. What was important is for Ghanaians to shun all negative thoughts about the prospects of the nation while offering acceptable counsel to leadership. According to Rev. Ayikade it does not pay for one to speak negative against the country and it's leaders, hoping that the complaints will produce answers. He said Christians ought to rather stand in the gap and ask for God's divine wisdom and righteousness to be evident in our leaders. He prayed that political influence will leave the church and the corridors of believers so that leaders can be offered the minds of God to drive the country to its desired destination.
