8% of Ghanaian workers battling with mental health - Dr. Akwasi Osei The Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority, Dr. Akwasi Osei, says 8% of Ghana's workforce have some mental health problems. This translates to 48,000 of the about 600 000 workforce in the public sector alone. Dr. Akwasi Osei, said inspite of these frightening statistics, mental health care receives very little or no support.
