Gov't To Launch Inter-operability Payment System by End of 2017

Government will by the end of this year launch the Inter-operability Payment System which will help improve tax collection and widen the tax net. 

This was announced by Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the end of the 38th Annual Technical Conference of Commonwealth  Association of Tax Administrators in Accra. 

According to the Vice President, the technical work has been completed. 

He said the initiative coupled with the digital addressing system and the Biometric National ID cards are measures by government to widen the tax net.
