Observe all necessary rules - NDC tells aspirants The Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned individuals and groups within the party to observe all the necessary guidelines and rules. A statement signed by the National Chairman of the party, Kofi Portuphy, said the committee has noted with concern the conduct and activities of some individuals who may be nursing ambition to contest for various offices in the party. It further notes with extreme concern the tone of some of these individuals in their public pronouncements. According to the statement, some of these potential aspirants and their supporters have resorted to insults and vilification of other potential contestants. The committee reminded all potential aspirants, their affiliates as well as party followers that such acts constitute anti-party conduct and can destroy the cohesive unity of the party. It reminds all that the internal processes which allow members to engage in campaign and other political activities have not yet been launched. Even though the statement is coming on the heels of an earlier statement by the ten regional chairmen of the NDC, who called on former President Mahama to contest the party's flag bearership again, it fell short of making references to it, let alone condemn the conduct of the regional chairmen. Meanwhile, Radio Ghana sources within the NDC say, the National Executive is not happy with the conduct of the regional chairmen but is unwillingly to openly speak about it. GBCONLINE ---DECRYPTED---
