University of Energy develops firefighting technology 

The University of Energy and Natural Resources and partners from South Africa have developed an application for early detection and prompt fighting of fire.   

The application sends fire alert to the National Fire Service and other stakeholders for early response.  

Speaking to GBC's Radio Ghana, the Head of Earth Observation Research Centre of the University, Dr. Amos Karboba, expressed optimism that the application will reduce the perennial fire outbreaks across the country.  

Dr. Karboba highlighted the features of the application and how it operates.
