The Daily Graphic joins the Trades Union Congress, TUC, to prevail on government to once and for all deal with the high unemployment situation in the country in the 2018 budget which is expected to be presented to parliament next week. It says rising unemployment leads to social deprivation, loss of income and fall in tax revenue. The Graphic is hopeful that the one district one factory and planting for food and jobs initiatives will be fully aligned in the budget to help address the situation.

The Ghanaian Times calls on government, teachers and other stakeholders to go back to the negotiating table and resolve the grievances of teachers of the Colleges of Education. The teachers have been on strike since November 2 over unpaid salaries, after negotiations with the Ministry of Education ended in a deadlock. The paper believes that the teachers have a legitimate case and deserve a hearing.

The Daily Heritage calls on government to ensure anyone found guilty of stealing state land is properly dealt with. This follows a revelation by the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources John Peter Amewu that some functionaries of the previous government bought state lands while in office.
