Over 200 school children killed in road crashes this year unacceptable - Road Safety Expert

Road Safety Advocate, Dr. Godfred Akyea Darkwa, has described as unacceptable, road fatalities involving 241 school children this year. 

Dr. Akyea Darkwa said drivers have a great responsibility to ensure the safety of pedestrians.
  
According to him, at all times drivers must give the right of way to people on foot.

Dr. Akyea Darkwa urged the Police to arrest drivers who do not observe road traffic regulations, especially those who jump red lights and those who do not stop at zebra crossings to allow pedestrians to cross the road.
