The Daily Graphic calls for support for the Kumasi Shoe Factory to realise its purpose. The paper says since 2015, the company has not received orders from any of the state security angencies. What even compounds the woes of the company, is that since 2014, combat boots bought from the Kumasi Shoe Factory by the Ghana Armed Forces on behalf of the Ghana Navy has not been paid for. The Graphic finds this phenomenon most unfortunate, as it defeats the purpose for which the Kumasi Shoe Factory was revived. The paper thinks the Ghanaian unbridle desire for foreign goods is a major cause for the collapase of local companies. It therefore calls on government to exercise state power to compel the security agencies to patronise products from the Shoe Factory to keep it in business.

The Ghanaian Times urges the Ghana Police Service to walk the talk and deal with lawlessness in the country. The paper says the promise by the police to stop vigilantism, armed robbery, land guards and Fulani menace and their resultant deaths,  has become many without any corresponding action. This the Times believes, erodes public confidence in the police and anxiety keeps rising in Ghanaians, as they continue to live in fear while the inpunity of vigilantism keeps increasing. The Times therefore calls on the Police to go all out and release their arsenals to curb the menace. 

The Daily Heritage commends government for giving a listening ear to agricultural science students, promising to restore their trainee allowance. The paper says the allowance serves as a good incentive to attract many students into the field, and also cushions students who are from poor homes, to realise their dreams of pursuing further education. The paper urges government not to drag its feet on the promise.
