More than half of electrical cables on market substandard- GSA

The Ghana Standards Authority is sounding the alarm over proliferation of substandard or inferior electrical cables on the market.
  
The P.R.O. of the Authority, Dr. Kofi Amponsah Bediako told GBC’s Radio Ghana, studies conducted revealed that more than half of the cables on the market are substandard. 

As a guide, he said genuine cables are labelled with indelible ink on the wires, while the fake ones have no labels at all or the labels are done on paper wrapped around the coils.
 
Dr. Bediako, said buyers can send their cables to the Ghana Standard Authority for instant testing.
