Gambia to establish Truth, Reconciliation Commission

Gambia is in the process of setting up a Truth and Reconciliatory Commission to promote   peace, unity and forgiveness among the people. 

Gambia's Minister of Information, Communications and Infrastructure, Demba Ali Jawo, who disclosed this to GBC’s Rebecca Ekpe said a Bill to that effect will soon be placed before the country's National Assembly to expedite the Peace and Reconciliation process. 

Mr. Jawo said peace and forgiveness is essential in building a new democratic Gambia.
