Kumasi: ARCC orders traders to vacate Suame, KATH Roundabouts The Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) has directed all traders and hawkers to vacate the Suame roundabout, particularly the frontage of Ghana Water Company, Wesley College as well as, the frontage area of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by close of day, Sunday the 5th of next month. A statement signed by the Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, said no trader or hawker will be allowed to do business, from Monday, the 6th of next month. It warned that anyone who flouts the directive will do so at his or her own risk. It said the takeover of the Suame and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital Roundabouts by traders and hawkers, poses a serious security and safety risk to the hawkers, hence immediate action being taken to avert any possible disaster. The statement added that all traders should relocate to Adumanu, Abenkyi and other satellite markets in the metropolis in their own interest.
