Protester shot dead in Kenya day after election- Police

A protester has been shot dead in western Kenya this morning as anger raged after the boycott of the election by the opposition. 

A witness in the western town of Bungoma, which borders Uganda, said the man was shot by police as he ran away.

However local police Chief Moses Nyakwama said he had tried to grab an officer's gun and was "unfortunately shot.
