Media Coalition Against Illegal Mining wants Judiciary to be ruthless with illegal miners

The Media Coalition Against Illegal Mining is unhappy about how the judiciary applies the rules to illegal miners arrested and arraigned before court for indulging in ‘galamsey’. 

The Coalition's Convener, Ken Ashigbey told GBC`s George Asekere on ‘Behind the News’, that the judiciary is relaxed in the prosecution of illegal miners. 

He therefore wants a more rigorous enforcement of the law to ensure illegal mining is stopped.
