Majority Leader proposes reforms in Parliament

Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu is proposing reforms in the legislature to allow members of the Minority to chair some major committees of the House. 

He noted that the practice where almost all Committees of Parliament except the Public Accounts Committee are chaired by the Majority weakens the effective Parliamentary oversight responsibility which is key for good governance. 

Mr. Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu stated this at a Public Forum on Parliamentary Oversight and Good Governance in Accra.
