Don't brand senior citizens with Alzheimers witches - Mental Health Authority

The Chief Executive Officer of the Mental Health Authority, Dr. Akwasi Osei has called on Ghanaians to desist from labelling people, especially the elderly who are suffering from some sort of disorders as witches.

He said in most cases, this has resulted in people subjecting such victims to forms of punishment sometimes leading to their death.
 
Dr. Osei made these remarks at a conference to mark World Alzheimer Day in Accra.
