Three ministers visit trade and exhibition fair

Three Ministers today, visited the ongoing Eastern Regional Trade and Exhibition Fair at the Jackson Park in Koforidua to assess the level of patronage as well as types of products exhibited.

They are  the Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Nana Adjei Boateng,the Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour and his Deputy Joseph Tetteh.

Speaking to newsmen after visit, Nana Adjei Boateng commended the Eastern Regional Coordinating Council for their initiative which has afforded them the opportunity to unearth the potentials on the region.

He said it will also help to identify types of products produced by the districts and municipalities and use to site the industries suitable to them depending on the availability of raw materials. 

The Trade and Exhibition Fair, Nana Adjei Boateng said,is serving as a precursor to the government's initiative of One-District-One-Factory which is one of the major policies to help ease unemployment in the country. 

The Eastern Regional Minister, Eric Kwakye Darfour, said the fair dubbed "Branding Eastern for Export", has helped to harness  what each district or municipality is endowed with in order to offer the needed support for industrialization and jobs creation. 

He advised the exhibitors to find a way of packaging their products well for export to earn foreign exchange to improve the national economy.
