'One village, One dam' policy to ensure farms have access to irrigation: Dept Minister

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Dr. Sagre Bambangi says government's 'One village, One dam' policy is formulated to ensure that every farm has access to irrigation and not necessarily to build a dam in every village. 

He said the nature of certain communities in the North, would make it impossible for the construction of dams, adding that some communities do not have resources for farming hence do not need the dams. 

Dr. Bambangi made these comments at a panel discussion on Agriculture and Water Management for the attainment of the SDGs in Ghana.
