Authorities of Tamale Teaching Hospital destroy expired drugs Authorities at the Tamale Teaching Hospital have destroyed expired drugs, some of which were procured more than ten years ago. The drugs running into thousands of Ghana Cedis were transported in two tipper trucks to the Tamale landfills site where they were destroyed. Clients of the facility have for years complained that, the hospital supplied expired drugs, a claim it has always denied. The CEO of the Hospital, Dr. Kolbilla David Zawumya in an interview with Radio Ghana in Tamale, explained that, inadequate information flow, led to the current situation, adding that the Hospital is taking steps to prevent a similar thing from happening.
