Minister warns saboteurs of Free SHS policy

The Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Archibald Letsa, has given headmasters who have taken money from first year SHS students up to September 15 to refund the money to the students. 

Describing the development as an act of sabotage of the government's free SHS policy, Dr. Letsa said the matter will not end with the headmasters refunding the money, but appropriate sanctions will be instituted against them. 

According to Dr. Lesta, some heads of schools in Keta, Ho and Nkwanta South are taking between 250 and 400 cedis for boarding facilities, mattresses, uniforms and all kinds of items. 

He however stated that majority of head teachers are going according to the guidelines.
