14th September, 2017 The DAILY GRAPHIC supports the suggestion by the Conference of Heads of Private Second Cycle Schools, (CHOPSS) for government to integrate private schools in the Free SHS policy, after it raised concerns of being sidelined by the policy. According to the paper, CHOPSS suggested to government for some form of funding to be allocated to Private schools to enable them to absorb students who prefer private schools to public institutions. The paper says private schools have every right to complain because they employ a large number of people, who by extension have families dependent on them. THE GHANAIAN TIMES commends government for the resurrection of the National Identification Card project and urged stakeholders involved in its implementation not to allow bureaucracy to derail it again. According to the Times, the primary reason for the National ID Cards is to facilitate the integration of all law enforcement, corporate and business applications and systems to the national identification system and provision of general identification services. The paper hopes that the enthusiasm with with the project is being launched will follow through to its successful implementation. GBC ---DECRYPTED---
