Deputy Agric Minister William Quaitoo quits
The Director of Communications at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin Tuesday evening, confirmed the resignation of Deputy Minister of Agriculture, William Quaitoo.
Mr. Quaitoo quit his post following his so called ethnocentric comments against people from the North.
According to Mr. Arhin, President Akufo-Addo, has accepted his resignation from the office as Deputy Minister for Agriculture, which takes immediate effect.
"The President wished him the very best in his future endeavors." That’s according to Mr. Arhin.
It may be recalled that on Monday, August 28, the minority in parliament condemned Mr. Quaitoo for calling the people from Northern Ghana as “difficult people”.
The Minority in an earlier statement also demanded the immediate resignation of Mr. Quaitoo who is also the Member of Parliament for Akim Oda as a Deputy Minister even though he rendered an unqualified apology for his comment.
