Schools in Sierra Leone deserted after mudslide Report says most schools in the Sierra Leonean capital Freetown have been deserted after mudslide and flooding killed more than 400 hundred people. Also the location of some schools can no longer be found. Ann Caulker, founder of the Royal Kings International school in Freetown said she has lost as many as 50 pupils and at least two teachers in the tragedy with her school completely destroyed.
