Bread shortage in Sudan’s capital Khartoum

Reports indicate that there has been shortage of bread in parts of Sudan's capital, Khartoum, for more than a week, forcing people to wait in long queues at bakeries to obtain a few loaves. 

Bakers attribute the shortage to a cut in flour quotas.

One of them told a local radio station that the Sayga Mills, a private company, had reduced the quota from four sacks of flour to one a day.
