Creation of separate Ministry to solely cater for public health advocated

The creation of a separate Ministry for Public Health has been advocated to help give priority to public health programmes in the country.
 
A Clinical Epidemiologist at the University of Health and Allied Science in Ho, Professor Fred Binka said combining public health duties with the core functions of the Ministry of Health does not promote excellent public health programmes in the country. 

He was speaking at the Media launch of the 1st Scientific Conference and 10th Anniversary of the Ghana Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Programme in Accra.
