Jittery Kenya awaits final election results after disputed poll International observers have urged Kenyans to be patient as they await final election results following opposition allegations of vote-rigging. The head of the European Union's election observer mission in Kenya, Marietje Schaake, said it had seen no signs of "centralised or localised manipulation" of the voting process. The EU mission's final report would evaluate the conduct of the tallying process, which opposition leader Raila Odinga said had been compromised by hackers. Former US Secretary of State John Kerry also urged Kenyan political candidates and parties to work within the law to resolve any disputes over the national elections. Meanwhile clashes between police and protesters again erupted in a Nairobi slum. Several people died in yesterday’s election protests after opposition leader Raila Odinga alleged that hackers had infiltrated the election commission's database and manipulated results in favor of President Uhuru Kenyatta. It was not clear when final results would be announced. SOURCE: NEWS24/REUTERS
