2017/2018 proposed fees by Universities forwarded to Parliament

The National Council for Tertiary Education (NCTE) has forwarded the proposed fees to be charged by universities this academic year to parliament for approval.
 
Students have complained that the universities have charged them exorbitant fees, and petitioned government over it. 

Parliament's subsidiary legislation committee has asked the universities to submit their proposed fees for approval.

In the meantime, the universities have been directed to maintain last academic year fees pending approval by parliament.
