IGP's intent to make Police Service reach World Class status in three years criticised as ‘unrealistic’ The Executive Director of the West Africa Centre for Counter Extremism, Mutaru Mumuni Muktar has described the IGP’s target of making the Ghana Police Service the best in Africa in the next three years as unrealistic. Speaking at the opening ceremony of a training workshop for Police Public Affairs officers, the IGP David Asante Apeatu said he is pursuing a robust transformation to position the Ghana Police Service as one of the best 10 police services in the world and the leading one in Africa by 2020. But Mr Muktar said that is not achievable within that time frame. According to him, the service needs at least eight years to get to that level. GBCONLINE
