Security Expert optimistic of success in Kenya's general election International Relations and Security Expert, Irbard Ibrahim has observed that polarisation and ethnicity could pose a threat to Kenya's elections August 8. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Ibrahim said despite the recent unfortunate events, he is optimistic the polls will be successful. He urged the Observer Missions and other stakeholders to engage the political actors on the need to maintain the peace. Kenya`s Veteran opposition leader Ralia Odinga is taking his fourth turn in August 8 presidential election. This time Odinga is heading a coalition called the National Super Alliance (NASA) which hopes to overcome traditional opposition divisions to defeat incumbent President Uhuru Kenyatta and his ruling Jubilee Party. The Kenyatta verses Odinga battle is set to be the last in the political rivalry between the two families that began in 2007 when Jaramogi Odinga lost out to Jomo Kenyatta, Kenya's first post-independence leader.
