AGI barometer survey shows restored investor confidence in economy The Association of Ghana Industries, AGI says it will continue to interrogate the objectives the Mid-Year Budget Review sought to achieve. Speaking on GBC's Current Affairs Programme, "Talking Point", the Vice President of the association, Henry Ayim Darkeh, maintained that per the business barometer survey of the AGI, investor confidence in Ghana's economy has been restored by government. He said government's ability to stabilize exchange rates, improve power supply and offer tax reliefs to members of the business community are contributory factors to this feat. The Technical Economic Advisor of the Vice President, Dr Gideon Boako said it is historical for a mid-year budget not to have a supplementary budget. He said this shows government is living within its means. It is also an indication of the prudent economic and financial management of the economy. The MP for Adaklu, Kwame Agbodza, expressed doubts of the economic management strategy of government. He said government has failed to spend hence the seeming economic prudence. This is evident in the non-payment of contractors, monies owed them for months. GBCONLINE
