Police Men To Be Increased In Public Places To Combat Crime- Interior Minister The Minister for Interior, Ambrose Dery, says the Police Administration is increasing Police presence at public places and social gatherings as well as deploying more plain clothes police personnel for intelligence gathering to combat crime in communities across the country. He said the Police is taking the needed steps to make Ghanaians feel safe in their communities. The Minister stated this when he appeared before Parliament to answer a question posed by the MP for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa on measures the Ministry of the Interior is taking to combat insecurity and mob violence in Ghana. Mr. Dery told the House that the Police Administration is in the process of recruiting to augment the number of the Police force. The Interior Minister spoke about efforts to provide insurance and protective gears for police officers. GBC
