THE DAILY GRAPHIC Sounds a word of caution that the battle against galamsey is not going to be won on a silver platter and, therefore,  government must be strong this time round and ensure that the exercise achieves the desired results. According to the paper, even as the task force goes into action, government must equally put premium on the provision of alternative livelihood for the thousands who depend on galamsey for a living. The Graphic however says those who want to thwart the efforts of the state must be told that there is no room for disrespect to the laws of the state.

THE GHANAIAN TIMES says it is high time parents who are caught trafficking children were punished. This is because the country cannot risk losing five hundred million dollars of its millenium challenge compact fund to heartless and selfish parents. The Times therefore, urges the security agencies and the courts to punish those caught engaging in child trafficking to serve as a deterrent to others.

THE DAILY HERITAGE  supports the call by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, AMA, on  the public to be ambassadors for making the city clean. The Paper is worried that despite series of campaigns to rid the city of filth, attitudes towards environmental sanitation have not changed. To this end, the Heritage urges the public to have high sense of responsibility towards sanitation issues. This is because when dirty environment leads to an epidemic, all would be at risk.
