Stakeholders advocate increased application of agricultural science for economic benefit The Forum for Agricultural Research in Africa, FARA and its constituent partners are pushing for the application of Agricultural science for maximum benefit. The Forum believes applied science will help double the contribution of agriculture to the economy which will in turn eliminate hunger, provide jobs opportunities, and improve management of the continent's natural resources. At a validation workshop in Accra, stakeholders including the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, the EU, and the World Bank, called for more dedication and a serious approach to realising the Science Agenda, to avert any disaster in the continent's agricultural system.
