Columbian ambassador urges Government to establish gold museum

The Columbian ambassador to Ghana Claudia Turbay Quintero has suggested to the Ghanaian government to consider establishing a gold museum in the country to help document the gold culture of the people. 

She said most countries outside Africa have such a museum which serves as a point for reference of their mineral resources.

Madam Quintero was speaking at a reception for the media in Accra to mark the week long Gastronomic festival of Columbia.

She described Africa as home to humanity saying the entire human race is represented in Africa.

The Ambassador called for the strengthening of bilateral relations between her country and Ghana saying the two countries have a lot in common.

Madam Quintero commended the Ghanaian media for its unique role in ensuring economic transformation and exposing corruption in both high and low places.
