Mumbai building collapse kills at least 17 people A four-storey building in India's capital, Mumbai, has collapsed killing more than 17 people. Rescuers have stepped up a desperate bid to find survivors buried under the rubble after saving about 28 people. A Disaster Management Spokesman for Mumbai's Civic Administrative Body,Tanaji Kamble, said the building which is at least 40 years old, housed a nursing home on the ground floor and three to four families on each of the other floors.
