President Akufo-Addo receives President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

President Akufo-Addo has received President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca and her delegation at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

Ghana will play host to the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca from Tuesday to Friday this week.  

Malta hardly cross the minds of migrants from Africa including Ghana, who want  to go to Europe but those who travel by sea usually end up in Malta before continuing their journey for greener pastures. 

GBC's Edward Nyarko reports that as the President of Malta touches down on the soil of Ghana for a state visit, migration and business will be high on the bilateral discussions that will be held between President Akufo-Addo and his Maltese counterpart, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at the Flagstaff House in Accra.

Ghana is the first country in recent memory to have invited a sitting Maltese Head of State. It is also the first sub-Saharan country to establish a High Commission in Malta.
