At least 24 killed, 42 injured in Kabul car bomb attack At least 24 people have been killed and 42 others injured by a suicide car bomb that exploded in the Afghan capital, Kabul. Officials say the attacker detonated a bomb in his car in a mainly Shia neighbourhood in the west of the city, the target of the attack is not immediately clear, and there has been no claim of responsibility. The blast occurred near the house of Deputy Government Chief Executive Mohammad Mohaqiq. Spokesman for Mr Mohaqiq believes the car wanted to target Mr Mohaqiq's house but was stopped by guards".
