Parliament summons EC Boss, other Ministers Parliament has invited the Minister National Security Kan Dapaah to appear before it to apprise members on general terrorism concerns in the country and update the House on the two Guantanamo Bay detainees in the country. The meeting with the Minister will be in camera in the Committee of the Whole. The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, stated this on the Floor of Parliament when he read the Business Statement for next week. The House has also scheduled the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission Charlotte Osei to attend upon the House to brief the lawmakers on the total amount collected from media representatives for covering the 2016 General elections as well as replacement of lost and misplaced ID cards and how the amount was applied. The Minister of Finance and officials will also engage Parliament in the Course of next week on the implementation of the Value Added Tax Amendment Act 2017, Act 948. Ten Ministers of State are also expected to attend upon the House next week to answer questions on communications, health, agriculture, foreign affairs among other sectors. GBCONLINE
