Police MTTD to intensify checks, arrests on major roads

The Motto Traffic Transport Department of the Ghana Police Service, says it is going to intensify checks and arrest commercial drivers who park indiscriminately on the Lapaz NI Highway and other major roads in the Metropolis. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police Alexander Kweku Obeng, who disclosed this to GBC`s Radio Ghana, advised transport operators to adhere to road safety measures.

DSP Obeng appealed to MMDAs to assist the efforts of the Police to decongest the street of hawkers and also clamp down on recalcitrant drivers.
