Magistrate Court Remands 19 Accused In Major Mahama Murder Case An Accra magistrate court has remanded the nineteen accused persons who were involved in the murder of the late Captain Mahama into prison custody. The magistrate Ebenezer Kwaku Ansah agreed to keep them into prisons custody for their own security and believes the stress on the police will be reduced. This was after the prosecution DSP. George Amegah pleaded with the court that the accused person are being remanded into police custody at different locations which is not safe for them and he believes they would be more secured in prisons custody. According to DSP Amegah they have gone far with investigations and duplicate docket is in transmission to the AG's office. Counsel for eight of the accused persons,Charles Juanah said that they want to suspend their bail application because at the moment it is safe for his clients to be in prison custody than even their homes since it is reported that one of the alleged accused person is dead in one of the Daily's. He hoped the delay in starting the trail will not create any problems and pleaded with the prosecution to put their house in order to avoid any delay. The Case has been adjourned to the third of next month. GBC
