The Daily Graphic welcomes the media dialogue with President Akuffo-Addo  yesterday. The paper says presidential engagement with the media is a democratic and constitutional mandate which guarantees press freedom, accountability and transparency. The paper hails the President's description of the Ghanaian media as free saying, he would rather prefer a noisy and reckless press to a docile and lame one. The paper urges the President not to make such an encounter a nine day wonder but periodically engage the media to deliberate on issues of national interest and the way forward.

The Ghanaian Times lauds the Ghana Police for conducting a special exercise  leading to the arrest of 17 drivers in some parts of Accra, who flout road traffic regulations. According to the paper, the alarming rate of accidents on the roads are as a result of  driver's disregard for road traffic regulations. What is worrying is that road users use unauthorised sirens, which conflict with section74 of the 2012 road traffic regulations which clearly authorises only  government vehicles, police, fire, ambulance service among others to use sirens. The paper says unauthorised drivers blow siren that are a nuisance on the road. The paper therefore hopes the   exercise by the police will be sustained to bring sanity on the Roads.

The Heritage writes on Cholera outbreak particularly in the country's capital, Accra. The paper says cholera is prevalent in Accra because of unhygienic conditions. It calls on the Ghana Health Service to intensify public education to avert any further outbreak of the disease. It also asks MMDCEs to as a matter of urgency accelerate plans to address the worsening sanitation menace in the country. The paper advices consumers to be vigilant as well as adopt better environmental conditions even at home.
