Basic Salaries On SSSS Increased By 11% From January 1, Next Year-PSJSNC Public Services Joint Standing Negotiating Committee, (PSJSNC has announced that basic salaries on the Single Spine Salary Structure, (SSSS) have been increased by 11 percent across board. A statement issued by the committee said the new pay structure which will take effect from January, 1 2018 is at the current pay point relativity of 1.7%. PSJSNC in a meeting held in Accra on Tuesday, representatives of public sector workers, led by the Secretary General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Dr. Yaw Baah, also concluded that there shall be effective implementation of Categories 2 & 3 allowances as approved by the Ministry of Finance. Public sector workers have been agitating for a new structure to bridge the gap between the National Daily Minimum Wage (NDMW) and the base pay on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS). The base pay is the lowest level salary paid to public sector workers on the SSSS and the 2016 base pay was GH¢7.45. GBC
